Rollo printers take direct thermal labels on media 1.57" to 4.1" wide. Ecotherm labels 1.5" to 3.5" wide fit that range. Our 4"-wide labels, including 4" x 6", do not: they sit on a 4.125" liner, wider than Rollo's 4.1" maximum. Rollo printers are often run with fanfold (folded stack) labels; Ecotherm sells rolls, which feed a Rollo from an external roll holder behind the printer. Our white direct thermal labels are BPA-free and BPS-free, tested by SGS.

Will It Fit My Rollo? Quick Check

  • Print method: direct thermal (no ribbon). Rollo printers are direct thermal.
  • Width: Rollo takes media 1.57" to 4.1" wide. Each Ecotherm label sits on a liner 0.125" wider than the label, so labels 1.5" to 3.5" wide fit. 4"-wide labels (4.125" liner) and labels under 1.5" wide do not.
  • Core: 1" core on all desktop rolls.
  • Roll size: rolls are 4" or 5" outer diameter, depending on the pack. Your roll holder must take a 1" core and a roll that size.
  • Sensing: gap sensing, with perforations between labels.

Rolls vs. Fanfold on a Rollo

Many Rollo owners start with fanfold labels, which feed from a stack behind the printer. Ecotherm labels come on rolls. Rolls need an external holder that takes a 1" core. In return, rolls stay neatly wound and don't need a stack behind the printer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Ecotherm labels work with Rollo printers?

Ecotherm labels 1.5" to 3.5" wide do. Rollo takes media 1.57" to 4.1" wide and prints direct thermal; mount our 1" core rolls on an external holder behind the printer. Our 4"-wide labels, including 4" x 6", sit on a 4.125" liner, wider than Rollo's 4.1" maximum, so we don't recommend them for Rollo.

Rollo uses fanfold labels. Can I use rolls?

Yes, with an external roll holder that takes a 1" core. Ecotherm sells rolls, not fanfold stacks.

Will the roll fit my roll holder?

Ecotherm desktop rolls are 4" or 5" in outer diameter on a 1" core. Check that your holder takes a 1" core and a roll at least that size.

What size labels does a Rollo print?

Rollo lists media 1.57" to 4.1" wide. From the Ecotherm range, labels 1.5" to 3.5" wide fit, such as 2.25" x 1.25", 3" x 2" and 3" x 1". Our 4"-wide labels, including 4" x 6", sit on a 4.125" liner and are too wide.

Do I need a ribbon or ink?

No. Ecotherm labels are direct thermal: the printer's heat creates the image. No ribbon, ink or toner.

Are Ecotherm labels BPA-free?

Ecotherm white direct thermal labels are BPA-free and BPS-free, tested by SGS.

Ecotherm is not affiliated with or endorsed by Rollo.
